You will oversee the full food cycle from goods receipt through to preparation and service, ensuring excellent customer service and full compliance with food hygiene, health, safety and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Service Prepare, cook and present food for restaurant, vending and hospitality services to company standards. Follow recipes and production plans to ensure quality, consistency and correct portion control. Maintain strong knowledge of menus, allergens and ingredients. Minimise waste and follow first-in, first-out stock rotation procedures. Quality, Hygiene & Compliance Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene from delivery through to service. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and Sodexo Health, Safety, Environmental and Food Safety standards. Complete and maintain required HACCP, temperature and cleaning documentation. Keep kitchen, storage and service areas clean, safe and organised at all times. Leadership & Team Support Supervise and support the catering team to ensure smooth daily operations. Delegate tasks appropriately and support team development. Lead by example and promote a positive, professional working environment. Participate in team briefings and contribute to continuous improvement. Stock & Cost Control Support food ordering in line with business needs. Monitor wastage and contribute to achieving food gross profit targets. Ensure correct storage and stock rotation procedures are followed. Customer Service Deliver a professional and friendly service. Respond to customer requests and complaints in a positive and timely manner. Maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues. Person Specification NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Catering & Hospitality. Valid food safety certificate. Experience working in a busy kitchen environment, ideally with supervisory responsibility. Strong understanding of health, safety and hygiene standards. Passion for producing high-quality food. Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach.
