We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities:
* Serve customers with passion and pride, providing natural, great service.
* Encourage customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Work across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Follow all safety training and procedures.
* Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understand store performance and contribute to profit delivery.
* Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and adhere to policies.
* Clock in and out accurately to ensure correct payment.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment.
* Follow the 'think 25' policy for age-restricted products.
* Respond promptly to assistance calls and explain actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* Potentially run shifts in the absence of senior staff.
* If applicable, undertake duties at the Post Office, including passing background checks.
