Job Summary and Responsibilities
Support outpatient services through administrative and clinical coordination, managing patient records, liaising with staff and patients, and ensuring efficient workflow.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinate patient administration tasks.
* Maintain accurate records and handle numerical data.
* Provide timely information to staff and patients.
* Apply trust policies and procedures consistently.
* Contribute to team objectives and service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience Required
* Experience working in an office environment with knowledge of office-based procedures, systems and administrative processes.
* Strong numerical accuracy, clear written and verbal communication.
* Willingness to undertake training and continuous development.
* Fair, honest, and consistent approach, treating staff and patients with respect, equity, and transparency.
* Diplomatic, self‑motivated, enthusiastic, professional attitude, and effective communication skills.
* Empathy, confidentiality, and sensitivity to diverse needs.
* Team player with a flexible approach to support service delivery.
* Basic computer literacy, keyboard skills and willingness to develop IT skills.
* Desirable: Understanding of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) policies.
* Desirable: Experience with the Trust’s Patient Administration System.
