JOB DESCRIPTION – SALES CO-ORDINATOR

Role
Working within a small team, the purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the sales department. The Sales Co-ordinator will process orders from quote through to shipment, whilst maintaining good customer relationships and maintaining the company's quality objectives.
Being positive and outgoing, you are pro-active and can work alongside other departmental staff to meet deadlines. Demonstrating an understanding of the sales process within a business, an excellent attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively are imperative.
Scope
As the first point of contact for the sales team, the Sales Co-ordinator will monitor e-mail communication, issue quotations and manage contract schedules for key account customers.
Ensuring that the correct goods are delivered on time every time.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager you will provide administration support to the department as well as supporting our customers. This includes providing data on key performance indicators, weekly sales revenue and updating contract schedules.
Main Tasks of the Role
* Initial handling of all sales/customer service e-mails and calls and escalating where necessary.
* Preparing quotations for customers and processing order requests.
* Processing orders, checking the orders have the correct prices, discounts, and product numbers.
* Management of contract schedules for key accounts.
* Answering customer queries, informing them of delays, arranging delivery dates.
* Working with other departments to ensure sales, queries and deliveries are handled efficiently.
* Arrange for the despatch of goods via courier and freight services worldwide.
* Collating sales figures and KPI's for the sales function.
* Data input to in-house IT systems and sales CRM.
* Providing after-sales support when necessary.
Other Tasks
* General reception duties including answering incoming phone calls to the Company and meeting and greeting visitors.
* General office duties including, filing, distribution of post.
* Sales file maintenance, ensuring that sales files are correct and include proof of delivery for international shipments.
Knowledge / Experience
* Excellent organisation, administrative and problem-solving skills.
* A confident communicator, you'll be able to liaise with people at all levels and via all channels – e-mail, telephone, and face to face.
* Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel skills.
* Familiarity with SAGE 50.
* Previous sales environment experience required.
* Ability to be pro-active, work with minimum supervision, and work well in a team environment.
* The ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary £27-£34k depending on experience.
* 21 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays).
* Office based.
* Hours - Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00hrs
