Are you ready to play a key role in shaping the future of our telephony systems? At Stockport Homes Group, we’re a values-driven organisation committed to our mission of “One team, transforming lives”.
We’re looking for a Telephony Switchover Officer to lead our migration from analogue to digital telephony across the organisation. This is a unique opportunity to work across all areas of SHG, upgrading infrastructure that supports some of our most vulnerable customers.
In this role, you’ll:
• Take ownership of the digital switchover project, acting as the main point of contact.
• Investigate and trace existing telephony connections, analyse billing, and evaluate current services.
• Coordinate with third-party suppliers, on-site teams, and installers to implement cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure continuity for critical services and minimise downtime for non-critical services.
• Keep stakeholders informed through clear documentation and regular updates.
We’re looking for someone with:
• Strong organisational and planning skills, able to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across teams and suppliers.
• Investigative and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of telephony infrastructure (voice and data) and a proactive approach to learning.
• A valid driving licence, access to a car, and business insurance for travel.
The SHG “Be You” approach sums up our belief that everyone has the right to be who they are, and to be that person at work, in line with SHG’s Values. We’re always looking to improve diversity within our teams to enhance this culture and to be truly representative of the communities we work in.
This role will be on Three Sixty terms and conditions.
