SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Reception Pupil (Non-Verbal)

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a caring and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Reception-aged child who is non-verbal and requires full-time support, five days a week. This role is physically demanding and requires someone patient, adaptable, andmitted to making a positive impact.Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide consistent 1:1 support for a child withplex needs
2. Assist withmunication strategies and engagement activities
3. Support with personal care and physical needs as required
4. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions
5. Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
6. Previous experience in SEN support, ideally with non-verbal pupils
7. Background in support work or care work highly desirable
8. Understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours
9. Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing needs
10. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills
