Full-Time 1:1 Tutor - SEMH Support Salford Full-Time | Monday-Friday 1:1 Alternative Provision Via Education Agency
Are you an experienced and resilient tutor with a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We are currently recruiting for a full-time 1:1 Tutor to support a pupil in Salford who requires bespoke educational provision outside of mainstream school. This is a highly rewarding role where you will play a key part in re-engaging a young person with learning and building their confidence both academically and emotionally.
About the Role:
* Deliver personalised, differentiated lessons (core subjects such as English and Maths)
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet SEMH needs and learning gaps
* Provide consistency, structure, and clear boundaries
* Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Track progress and provide regular feedback to the agency and relevant professionals
* Sessions may take place in the home or community setting
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with pupils with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or those out of education
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* A calm, patient and resilient approach
* The ability to build positive, trusting relationships
* Experience delivering tailored 1:1 learning
* QTS or relevant teaching/tutoring qualification (desirable but not essential)
