Description This is a critical role within our integrated Nationwide Group Threat Intelligence capability, with responsibility for leading the Cyber Threat Analysis team and delivering intelligence to stakeholders across Nationwide Building Society and Virgin Money. Key stakeholders include the Group Security Operations Centre (SOC) e.g. Detect and Respond, Attack Surface Operations, Threat Detection Engineering and Threat Hunting and also Red and Purple Team as well as Security Engineering and Cyber Strategy. This work also influences critical decision-making by the Nationwide Chief Security and Resilience Officer (CSRO) and Virgin Money Chief Information and Security Officer (CISO) helping to keep our members safe from cyber threats and hazards. For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, London, Manchester or Glasgow office. Responsibilities What you’ll be doing You will deliver high-quality tactical and operational intelligence products tailored to stakeholder needs, partnering with Group SOC, Security Engineering & Cyber Strategy and other critical stakeholders to define our controls and mitigations against an array of cyber threats. Furthermore, you will be responsible for implementing your team’s strategy, future roadmaps and maturity goals, with reporting responsibility to senior executives. This includes developing and maintaining Threat Intelligence workflows, playbooks and quality assurance processes. Additionally, you’ll provide outstanding line management for up to five direct reports, helping them to grow in their responsibilities and career trajectories and being accountable for formal performance assessments. Qualifications About you Key aspects of this role are: The ability to define your team’s strategy, roadmaps, and maturity goals and to identify and implement opportunities for maturing a team using advanced intelligence techniques/tooling Experience establishing governance frameworks, policies, and playbooks Expertise in delivering high-quality tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence products tailored to stakeholder needs A proven track record partnering with cyber control owners and other relevant stakeholders as appropriate to convert intelligence into action Experienced line manager and/or mentor for highly skilled subject matter experts Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together.
