About the Role
Assistant Psychologist to join the Mental Health team at HMP Fosse Way, a category C Prison located in Glen Parva. The role involves providing psychological assessment, interventions, and support across all pathways within the secure environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide psychological assessment, risk assessment, and formulate interventions for patients.
* Identify patients who may benefit from psychological interventions, triage as necessary, and prioritise according to clinical need, risk and release planning.
* Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions to adults with a range of mental health problems.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support patient care and decision making.
* Document and report findings according to service policy and under the guidance of a qualified psychologist.
Qualifications
* At least two years experience as an Assistant Psychologist within a secure or forensic setting.
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology (or equivalent).
* Evidence of foundation training in at least one evidence-based psychological framework such as CBT, DBT, ACT or CFT.
* Experience working with mental‑health forensic populations.

Compensation
Full‑time position with an annual salary of £31,000 per annum.
