37.5 hours per week | 9am-5pm Mon-Fri | Product & Procurement Team (Algernon Road)
The purpose of this role is to oversee the product function, including procurement, new product development (NPD) and logistics.
The key duties and responsibilities of this role are to:
Support the development of the overall product strategy, ensuring alignment with consumer / customer needs, market movements and business objectives. Putting customers at the heart of decisions.
Collaborate with key stakeholders on retail price recommendations, to provide a comprehensive and ongoing competitive market overview to inform pricing decisions
Oversee and manage supplier relationships
Own tea as a key category within the division
Ensure performance targets are met, including gross profit and volume growth
Contribute ideas on growth initiatives to drive volume growth. Use performance data to support recommendations and decision-making.
Lead both Existing Product Development (EPD) and New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, leveraging customer insights. Acting at an advocate for customer insight in driving decisions
Develop and maintain a robust supply chain
Drive continuous improvements and efficiencies, with a focus on freshness and operational excellence
Oversee key NPD projects. Identifying new category opportunities to drive growth, ensuring clear timelines and expectations. Provide support on the launch campaign strategy.
Act as the key link between product, NPD and procurement, ensuring products are sourced from the right suppliers, on time, while continuously improving processes and ways of working.
Collaborate with the marketing team, ensuring they receive all relevant product information in a timely and engaging way.
Manage and mentor product and procurement teams, to drive high performance and best industry practices
Leverage data insights to inform the team on progress, performance, and opportunities for optimisation

Leadership experience within a product and/or procurement role
