What's the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is ready to progress their career. This role will provide you with the construction-related experience you need to advance your professional competency journey with RICS. You will work on a variety of projects across different sectors, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure, with project values ranging from £1m to £50m.
You will be part of our dynamic and collaborative team in our newly refurbished office, creating a vibrant, modern, and professional environment. You will work closely with senior team members to support the delivery of significant projects.
What you need to do to be effective in this role
1. Assist with the day-to-day delivery of construction projects.
2. Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
3. Prepare cost estimates and evaluate the cost of building designs and alternative proposals.
4. Assist with the preparation, issue, evaluation, and reporting of tenders.
5. Attend and actively participate in client and contractor meetings.
6. Advise on contract terms and prepare building contract documentation.
7. Agree on monthly valuations and prepare monthly cost reports.
