About the Role
The Avara Foods Engineering Placement Programme 2026‑2027 is a 12‑month placement for current BEng (Bachelors of Engineering) students. This placement is based at our advanced processing site in Telford, Shropshire, and offers a realistic engineering experience within a leading food manufacturing organisation.

Responsibilities
* Work on varied projects, focusing on improving engineering processes, quality and efficiency.
* Be involved in maintenance and continuous improvement, contributing to problem‑solving projects that require teamwork and the opportunity to deliver your own projects.
* Serve as the Asset Manager for an area of the operational environment, monitoring downtime, organising planned maintenance, gathering data to analyse trends, conducting RCAs and FMEAs to drive continuous improvement.
* Manage projects (under guidance) to solve operational problems and impact performance within an FMCG environment.
* Receive mentorship on identifying needs, planning solutions, sourcing funding/resources, tendering, delivering projects, and developing training and technical documentation.

* Currently achieving a minimum of a 2:2.
