Pertemps Profession Recruitment is seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated Support and Protect team. As part of this authority’s Support and Protect service, you will work in a busy, supportive team assessing and working with vulnerable children and their families, intervening where children need support to provide help at an earlier stage.
It is essential that you have child protection and court experience. The service maintains a strong link with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support for children and families when social care involvement is no longer necessary.
Successful candidates must be able to attend the locality for 3 days in the area, 2 days working from home, 5 days per week with no condensed days, and 1 week every 5 weeks where you are required to be in every day for duty.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet identified needs.

Perfect candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* SW, CSS, DipSW or Social Work Degree; creative, flexible, and forward-thinking in approach.
* Experience working in a Social Services Directorate or other statutory or voluntary agency.
* Constantly striving for continuous improvement to provide the best outcomes for individuals and families.
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills on behalf of service users.
* Experience working with a range of client groups within an agency.
* Highly skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families.
* Committed to providing high-quality services.
* Experience working in a multi-disciplinary, interagency environment.
* Knowledge of legislation relating to social work practice.
* 4+ years qualified.
In this role you will:
* Conduct full assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs.
* Manage an agreed caseload.
* Use specialized communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Devise individual care plans promoting dignity and empowerment.
* Offer advice and support to unqualified staff and students for development.
