Position
Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry/Forensic Psychiatry – Foxgrove Medium Secure Adolescent Unit, Foxgrove will be the national medium secure adolescent inpatient hospital on the Ayrshire Central Site. Foxgrove will be an 8 bedded unit and provide specialist services to young people aged 12–17 years.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership to Foxgrove.
* Deliver 10 programmed activity sessions to Foxgrove.
* Participation on an on-call rota; opportunities may exist for Extra Programmed Activities subject to service requirements.
Terms and Conditions
The Terms and Conditions are those determined by the Consultant Contract and this post is offered on a 10 programmed activity basis. Part-time or job-share applications will be considered.
Qualifications and Registration
* Full GMC Registration with a current Licence to Practice.
* On the Specialist Register or within 6 months of anticipated award of CCT or CESR at date of interview.
* Member or Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
* Eligible for, or willing to seek, Approval under section 22 of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.
* A full driving licence would be beneficial.
