We’re looking for an experienced M&E Project Engineer to join our growing team and support the successful delivery of water industry projects across the UK. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and Site Managers throughout the full project lifecycle — from design and build through to commissioning.
This role offers a varied working environment, combining site visits, office-based tasks, and home working. You’ll play a key part in ensuring Health & Safety compliance, managing EICA activities on site, and supporting the delivery of high quality engineering solutions.
What will your day look like…
Assist in managing engineering activities across design, build, and commissioning phases.
Provide progress updates to the Project Manager against programme and budget.
Review and contribute to method statements, risk assessments, and technical documenta-tion.
Prepare EICA subcontractor scope documents and ensure materials are correctly specified and procured.
Produce and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) aligned with company and project standards.
Support site teams to ensure timely engineering decisions and minimise rework.
Attend site regularly to oversee M&E installation, commissioning activities, and operational support tasks.
About you…
Proven experience in EICA project delivery within the water treatment industry.
Strong understanding of:
Control systems (PLC, MCC)
Manual and actuated valve
Instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature, quality)
Ancillary equipment: screens, pumps, mixers, dosing systems, tanks, vessels, pressure filters, surge systems
Awareness of DWI, WIMES, and WRAS standards.
Knowledge of water treatment processes, water movement, and chemical dosing.
