Are you a driven and confident Contracts Manager with extensive experience in the water or civil engineering sectors? We're looking for a talented individual to lead the planning, delivery, and coordination of rising main installations and wider wastewater infrastructure projects. This is a senior-level role where you will take ownership from day one, managing project plans, building strong client relationships, and guiding your team to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient outcomes.
In this role, you'll ensure each project is carefully scoped, resourced, and delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with clients, designers, and subcontractors to shape technical specifications and drive best-practice approaches throughout the project lifecycle. Your ability to inspire confidence, communicate clearly, and expand our workstream through exceptional service and project performance will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Delivery: Lead and manage wastewater and civil engineering infrastructure projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and cost.
* Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, and supply chain partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
* Team Leadership: Coordinate subcontractors, motivate teams, and ensure all parties are aligned with project objectives.
* Quality Control & Compliance: Oversee the delivery of projects to agreed quality standards, ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance.
* Commercial Oversight: Control project costs and maintain a sharp commercial understanding of project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
* Problem Solving & Decision Making: Take charge of troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
About You:
We are looking for someone with a solid technical background in wastewater or civil engineering infrastructure projects, alongside strong leadership and commercial skills. The ideal candidate will bring:
* Minimum 10 years of experience in the specification, delivery, and management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
* Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
* Familiarity with NEC contracts and project lifecycle management.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and motivate teams.
* Sharp problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* NVQ Level 4 or above, SMSTS, and CSCS.
* Desirable qualifications: NRSWA Supervisor, IOSH Managing Safely / CITB Site Manager Safety, PMP or equivalent, NEC PM accreditation, and a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Project.
