Job Overview:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Production Operators and Painters, ensuring daily objectives are shared and achieved within a heavy manufacturing environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Safety - ensuring all working practices are safe and driving a safety first culture
2. Planning - organising, directing, and monitoring Team Member activities and resources necessary to achieve daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly targets
3. Quality - ensuring that production is working to required standards in a zero defects culture, following standard work and constantly driving improvements in our production
4. Delivery - controlling and managing the day-to-day production to achieve build to schedule and on time delivery targets
5. Cost - monitoring production costs to ensure that targets are achieved on time within budget and within Quality standards
Experience Required
Minimum of 2 years previous production leadership experience gained within a high-volume manufacturing environment (preferably heavy manufacturing).
6. A working understanding of lean manufacturing, JIT, continuous improvement techniques
7. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office packages.
