Job Opportunity: Packing Supervisor (PM Shift)

Are you an experienced production professional ready to step into a key leadership role? On behalf of our we're looking for a proactive and organised Packing Supervisor to join a growing team on the PM shift. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong people management skills and a solid background in food production to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment.
Main Purpose of the Role
As the Packing Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing raw materials, ingredients, and packaging during the afternoon shift. You’ll also act as deputy to the Shift Manager when required, ensuring all production lines run efficiently, safely, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
⦁ Supervise staff, services, and materials to ensure production targets are met on time
⦁ Maintain safety, product quality, and productivity without compromise
⦁ Accurately report on production performance, holidays, absences, and staff development
⦁ Coach and support your team to enhance skills, communication, and collaboration
⦁ Ensure hygiene, safety, and housekeeping standards are upheld across the department
⦁ Maintain precise records to ensure full traceability at all times
⦁ Handle staff attendance, training, and discipline fairly and effectively
⦁ Organise training schedules and provide cover for key roles when needed
⦁ Ensure production areas are cleared of materials at the end of each shift
⦁ Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager to minimise downtime
⦁ Set up and monitor machinery for optimal start-up and production efficiency
⦁ Report any equipment issues and implement waste reduction strategies
⦁ Oversee agency and part-time staff performance and attendance
⦁ Ensure daily staff registers are completed and accurate
⦁ Communicate company policies, procedures, and updates clearly to your team
