Your Role and Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA): Provide tailored classroom support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. Assist teachers in creating inclusive and engaging learning environments. Support individual pupils or small groups to help them access the curriculum and build confidence. Contribute to behaviour management strategies and promote emotional well-being. Collaborate with school staff and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for all learners. What We’re Looking in SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA): Experience working with SEN children in any capacity (e.g. education, care, youth work, childminding, or support roles). A flexible, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting diverse needs. A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps. Ability to travel to schools via driving or public transport. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or already registered on the update service).
