Job Description
Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for a Lead Planner / Area Planner (electrical bias) to be engaged on a permanent basis, based in Bridgwater.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the Lead Planner in the implementation and maintenance of Project Controls processes for Planning.
2. Support Senior Project/Programme Managers, including the production of monthly reports through the provision of intelligent information and analysis.
3. Collaborate with other Disciplines of Integrated Project Controls and Project Support Functions to help deliver project goals in line with client principles of Trust, Transparency, and Teamwork.
4. Produce and maintain the schedule baseline IWS in Primavera P6 (P6), with logic-linked work plans aligned to the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and utilizing approved construction techniques.
5. Ensure the Level 2/4 IWS is updated within an agreed timeframe.
6. Assist in the Trend & Change process, including analysis at the project level, generating performance indicators, and providing feedback on risks and opportunities.
7. Identify, analyze, and provide solutions to time-related issues.
8. Coordinate, verify, and produce project-level schedule reports, including commentary on key drivers and performance issues.
9. Adhere to project governance and scheduling standards and procedures.
10. Ensure all project documents, especially Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly marked and protected according to client policies.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of a degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field, or HND/equivalent with recognized experience.
* Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status.
* Proven experience in a Project Management or Project Controls environment, particularly in scheduling on major construction projects.
* Extensive experience with scheduling software, especially Primavera P6 version 7 or above.
* Experience in commercial contracting.
