Role description
Working as a Locum Pharmacy Technician supporting the supply of CMBP in a specialist private pharmacy. This is a niche role in a growing area. The successful candidate will work alongside specialist Clinical Pharmacists to improve access to CMBP for all patients.
Location: Onsite in Winnersh (easily accessible from Reading and surrounding areas)
Free parking onsite
Rate: £19 per hour
Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Receiving and validating prescriptions for clinical check.
* Ordering CMBP in accordance with regulations promptly.
* Processing patient information appropriately.
* Supporting the Responsible Pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations.
* Being the first point of contact for pharmacy queries.
* Maintaining records related to CMBP supply.
* Maintaining relationships with importers for timely CMBP delivery.
* Managing stock and security of CMBP on site.
* Communicating prescriptions to the Department of Health to meet regulatory requirements.
* Supporting pharmacy governance to ensure safe operations.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
* A UK-qualified, registered Pharmacy Technician with a valid GPhC number.
* ACT qualification is desirable but not essential.
* BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences.
* Ideally completed a CPD-accredited medical cannabis educational programme (provided for the successful candidate).
* A self-motivated individual with high attention to detail, able to work accurately and identify errors quickly.
* Experience in pharmacy dispensary work in primary and/or secondary care environments.
* Attention to detail, patience, and the ability to remain calm under stress.
* Excellent communication skills with staff, patients, and healthcare professionals.
* Professional, ethical, and committed to excellent customer care.
* Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
