As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented and driven Cost Finance Analyst to join our group Finance team. Location: Manchester (Embankment, hybrid - 1 to 2 days per week on site) The Role As a Cost Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in delivering timely, insightful, and accurate cost reporting, planning and analysis across the Group. You will partner with business leaders and Directors to drive financial performance, influence strategic decisions, and support cost efficiency across MSG’s £500m cost base. Key Responsibilities Business Performance & Insight Support monthly close processes, reviewing results, journals, and accruals. Deliver high-quality cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis with clear commentary. Identify and validate cost-saving opportunities and support business case development. Leverage KPIs to challenge and improve cost performance across departments. Support the budgeting process and rolling forecasts for staff and non-staff costs. Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and Directors. Deliver relevant and actionable insights to support data-driven decision making. Promote accountability for financial performance across business areas. Operational & Financial Excellence Maintain and improve financial planning models and process documentation. Ensure robust model governance through quality checks and controls. Support regular performance reporting to the Board, ExCo, and internal audiences. Continuous Improvement Seek ways to improve business intelligence and analytics. Engage in personal development and champion the MSG behaviours.
