The Role
You’ll be the bridge between local partners and adult learners across North Yorkshire, ensuring courses are promoted, referrals are consistent, and learners are supported smoothly into the right programmes.
This is a home-based role where you’ll manage your own diary, working from home when not out in the community. You’ll travel across North Yorkshire to promote courses, meet referral partners, and engage with learners. You’ll be responsible for meeting learner recruitment targets and playing a key role in helping people access life-changing learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote a wide range of adult learning opportunities – from ESOL and functional skills to cooking, confidence-building, and other community-based courses (accredited and non-accredited)
* Build and maintain relationships with referral partners such as Jobcentres, community centres, and local charities to ensure a steady stream of learner referrals
* Recruit and screen learners for eligibility before passing them to the enrolment team for onboarding
* Travel across North Yorkshire to meet partners and learners
* Represent the organisation with warmth, professionalism, and care for the people and communities you serve
Who we’d love to speak to
Ideally, you’ll already have experience in a similar role with established connections across North Yorkshire. We’re also open to people with transferable skills – for example, those who’ve worked in learner recruitment, employability, or welfare-to-work roles where you’ve supported people onto courses or into employment.
You’ll need to be outgoing, confident, and tenacious – someone who can get out there, build trust quickly, and embed yourself in the local community as a genuine partner and advocate for lifelong learning.

Location Requirement
Due to the nature of the role and the need to travel regularly across the patch, we can only accept applications from people who live in North Yorkshire or in surrounding areas no more than 30 miles outside the North Yorkshire border. Suitable surrounding areas include: York, Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Darlington, Middlesbrough, Ripon, Thirsk, Northallerton, Selby, Skipton and surrounding villages/towns within this radius.
