A great opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual ,at the beginning their finance career as an Accounts Assistant with a well‑established organisation in Hemel Hempstead. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll receive full training and gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of accounting tasks within a supportive, friendly team.
Key responsibilities
1. Raising month‑end sales invoices
2. Credit control duties
3. Coding and approving supplier invoices
4. Processing credit card payments and all bank transactions
5. Managing the Accounts mailbox and responding to queries
6. Maintaining accurate customer records
7. Preparing BACS payment runs
8. Checking and processing employee expenses
9. General administrative support to the finance team
What you'll need to succeed
10. Strong IT skills, especially Excel
11. Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
12. Goodmercial awareness
13. Understanding of accounting principles (training provided)
14. Experience using Opera is an advantage
