Your new role
As Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the payroll function during a busy transitional phase. This 6-month fixed-term contract will see you working closely with the Payroll Specialist to manage day-to-day payroll queries, assist withpliance-related reporting, and contribute to process improvements as part of a new system rollout.Key responsibilities include:
1. Clearing backlog requests from HR, includingpliance and reporting tasks.
2. Managing the Payroll Queries Inbox and ensuring timely, accurate responses.
3. Supporting the implementation of standardised request forms.
4. Assisting in the documentation of payroll processes and procedures.
5. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions.
What you'll need to succeed
6. 3+ years’ experience in a payroll function.
7. Experience working in a multi-jurisdictional environment, ideally covering both UK and international payrolls.
8. Familiarity with both in-house and outsourced payroll processes.
9. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
10. Confidence in handling employee queries professionally and accurately.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
12. Excellentmunication and teamwork skills
