Job Description
My client, based in Northamptonshire, are seeking a Financial Controller to take ownership of the company\'s financial management and controls, ensuring robust financial planning, analysis, and risk management. They will enhance cashflow forecasting, oversee budget creation and departmental allocation, support strategic financial decision-making, and strengthen banking and treasury operations.

The Role:
6. Deliver accurate and timely management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports
7. Track performance, analyse variances, and provide clear, actionable insight to leadership
8. Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with statutory, tax, and audit requirements
9. Strengthen financial processes and leverage technology to improve efficiency
10. Act as a trusted advisor to leaders throughout the business, translating numbers into decisions
11. Support the organisation through restructuring and future growth
The Candidate:
12. Someone who holds a CIMA Certificate (or above) or is qualified to AAT Level 4 (or Level 3 with significant post-qualification experience) - or someone who can demonstrate equivalent capability
13. Proven ability to lead the finance function within a growing SME
14. Strong background in financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance
15. Experience navigating corporate restructuring, and/or transformation
16. A hands-on, practical and adaptable approach, suited to a fast-scaling business
17. Commerciality, with the confidence and clarity to explain financials to non-finance colleagues
18. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Xero
