TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and supportive Primary School in the Scunthorpe (DN17) area. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Cover Supervisor / Classroom Supervisor to start immediately, continuing through until at least July, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.
This role would suit candidates with experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), HLTA, Unqualified Teacher, or Behaviour Support Worker within a primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 (Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2)
2. Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment
3. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school behaviour policies
4. Support pupils aged 4–11, including SEN (Special Educational Needs) where required
5. Work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 as needed
6. Adapt to different classroom settings and daily school requirements
Requirements:
7. A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, HLTA, Degree) or minimum 6 months’ UK school-based experience
8. Experience working in a UK primary school setting
9. Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills
10. Experience supporting SEN, SEMH, ADHD, or ASD (desirable)
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
12. Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
