The role
We are seeking a skilled Steel Profile Cutter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately cutting steel profiles to specified dimensions, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the process. - Operate cutting machinery to shape steel profiles according to technical drawings and specifications
- Use hand tools and tooling to prepare and finish steel components
- Perform grinding and welding tasks as required to ensure precise cuts and secure assembly
- Measure and verify dimensions using basic math skills and measuring instruments
- Assist with sheet metal handling, assembly, and other fabrication tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment, reporting any faults or issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, grinding, welding, or related mechanical fields is preferred
- Knowledge of sheet metal work and familiarity with hand tools and tooling
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong understanding of assembly processes within a manufacturing setting
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Mechanical knowledge combined with practical experience in using hand tools and power tools is highly desirable
