We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:2:1 basis with a Year 6 pupil with complex needs. You will be a vital member of our team, helping to ensure the pupil is fully included, supported, motivated and enabled to engage with learning and school life. Deliver consistent 1:2:1 support in the classroom, helping the pupil access learning, follow instructions, complete tasks, and achieve their potential. Demonstrate initiative: adapt resources, strategies and your approach to meet the pupil’s needs, collaborating with class teacher, SENDCo and support team. Be a positive, energetic presence: encourage, motivate and celebrate small steps and successes. Work closely as part of the team: liaise with classroom teacher, SEND team, parents/carers and external professionals as required. Support the pupil’s social, emotional and behavioural development in line with our Thrive approach, fostering resilience, empathy and confidence. Contribute to the inclusive ethos of our school, ensuring that every child feels safe, valued and able to thrive. The Ideal Candidate: Have recent experience in working with children with complex needs (SEND) in Key Stage 2. Show a genuine passion for helping children succeed and enjoy school life. Bring high levels of positivity, energy and enthusiasm to your work. Demonstrate initiative: willing to adapt, innovate and contribute ideas to support inclusion and learning. Be a strong relationship-builder: you must be able to connect with children, understand their needs, work collaboratively with staff and parents, and foster trust. Ideally hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent) though this is not essential if you bring the right personal attributes.
