Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with complex SEN
- Plan and implement individualised learning programmes (EHCP-led)
- Support pupils’ communication, interaction, and sensory regulation
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families
- Monitor and assess progress, adapting strategies to meet individual needs
- Create a safe, engaging, and structured classroom environment
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Proven experience working with pupils with complex needs, particularly in:
- Sensory processing difficulties
- Communication and interaction needs (including autism spectrum conditions)
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies, interventions, and inclusive practice
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- A patient, resilient, and creative approach to teaching
