Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to oversee and enhance our logistics operations.
Duties
· Maintain communication with drivers and customers to ensure delivery targets are met
· Replace Sick/Absent Drivers
· Action all customer emails & phone calls
· Ensure Trailers are in position for Bulk Collections
· Make any required amendments to planning & update Mandata
· Complete IOD Sheet throughout shift
· Complete Transport Traffic Sheet
· Handover with PM Transport Coordinator
· Ensuring all bulk TPN Collections are running on time for collection
· Briefing out / Briefing In General Haulage & Night Drivers Drivers
· Create Shunter Plan for getting trailers/vehicles in the correct place for collections
· Ensure all preloads are complete
· Conduct Yard check and update trailer positions on Operations Control Sheet
· Upload & file delivery PODs
· Check and complete vehicle Hours & Mileages
· Ensure drivers sign out required equipment
· Comply with all company policies, rules, and procedures at all times
· Complete agency driver inductions as per company standards & requirements
· Be familiar with and follow the company's health and safety policies, guidelines and procedures at all times
· Work as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives
Requirements
* Proven experience in logistics or transportation coordination
* Strong knowledge of business processes and continuous improvement practices.
