Our client in the global professional services industry is looking for a DevOps Engineer to support the New WMU project for the UK Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), a government department responsible for welfare and pension policy in the United Kingdom. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with the 52971381 team while contributing to high-impact cloud security and DevOps initiatives.
What you will do:
* Define the cloud security framework and architecture to ensure alignment with business requirements and performance goals.
* Document the implementation of cloud security controls and support the transition to cloud security-managed operations.
* Serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with and guiding the team to ensure effective delivery.
* Lead team decision-making processes and engage with multiple teams to contribute to key technical and strategic outcomes.
* Provide solutions to complex problems within the immediate team and across multiple teams.
* Develop innovative security solutions that align with the overall cloud strategy.
* Conduct regular assessments of cloud security controls to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
* Lead training sessions to enhance team knowledge of cloud security best practices.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
* Stay updated on cloud security trends and technologies to continuously improve the security framework.
Qualifications
* Expert proficiency in DevOps.
* Advanced proficiency in Git (recommended).
* Advanced proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security Architecture, GitLab CI/CD, and Managed Cloud Security Services (suggested).
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple teams and lead decision-making processes.
* Strong documentation and communication skills.
* Experience delivering cloud security solutions in complex environments.
