Mental Health Practitioner / Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Early Intervention | NHS Agency Contract | Nottinghamshire
Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting experienced Mental Health Practitioners / Community Psychiatric Nurses (CPNs) for a full-time agency contract within the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service based in Nottingham.
Contract Details:
1. Location: Nottingham (Community-based role)
2. Hours: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
3. Pay Rates:
4. £27.00 per hour (Umbrella)
5. £21.71 per hour (PAYE, inclusive)
Role Overview: This role is based within the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service, supporting individuals aged 14–64 who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing a first episode of psychosis. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, recovery-focused care.
You will be responsible for managing a defined caseload, conducting comprehensive assessments, and delivering a range of psychosocial interventions. The role also involves working closely with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities:
6. Manage a caseload of individuals with first episode psychosis (FEP)
7. Conduct extended mental health assessments and risk evaluations
8. Develop and implement care plans, safety plans, and recovery-focused interventions
9. Deliver psycho-social interventions including CBT-informed practice, family work, and carer education
10. Participate in weekly MDT meetings and contribute to collaborative care planning
11. Liaise with GPs, social care, education, and voluntary sector partners
12. Support service users in accessing education, employment, and social opportunities
13. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
14. Safeguard adults and children in line with local and national protocols
