Field Service Controller Location: Cumbernauld, G68 9HQ
Hours: 37 hours per week | MondayFriday, 08:0016:00
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (DOE)
Are you an organised, confident communicator with a strong customer service mindset? Were looking for a Field Service Controller to join a busy Aftermarket team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Youll act as the key link between customers, engineers, and third-party providers, ensuring breakdowns and repairs are managed efficiently from first contact through to completion.
Key Responsibilities Handle incoming calls and coordinate field service activities
Accurately log breakdowns and job details into central systems
Communicate engineer attendance, updates, and ETAs to customers
Prioritise vehicle-off-road (VOR) cases and escalate critical issues
Manage warranty and chargeable repairs, including job numbers and parts coordination
Liaise with third-party repairers and monitor job progress
Collate engineer reports and close jobs accurately
Update KPIs, job statuses, and submit warranty claims
Maintain high standards of service administration and compliance
About You Previous experience in a similar role (motor trade experience preferred)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Good technical understanding of vehicle components
Excellent planning, coordination, and organisational skills
Competent with Microsoft Excel and Word
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Calm, logical, and effective under pressure
GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
Knowledge of the refuse industry or engineer planning is an advantage
