GSL Education are looking for reliable and enthusiastic SEN Supply Teachers to support primary schools in Hailsham on a day-to-day basis. This flexible role involves working with pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping create calm, inclusive classrooms where every child can thrive.
Job Title: SEN Supply Teacher – Primary
Location: Hailsham
Salary: £120 - £200 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate Start
Contract: Short-term, Day-to-day Supply
About the Role:
This is a day-to-day supply role, covering teacher absences in SEN-focused or SEN-inclusive primary settings. You’ll teach small groups or individuals, tailoring your approach to meet various needs and ensuring progress, engagement, and a safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach across KS1 and/or KS2 in SEN or mainstream settings with SEN provision
* Adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
* Work collaboratively with support staff and SENCOs
* Maintain clear communication with pupils, staff, and, where appropriate, parents
* Promote positive behaviour and social development
* Follow safeguarding policies and record information accurately
Job Requirements:
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), or equivalent qualification
* Experience teaching pupils with SEN, including ASC, ADHD, or SEMH
* A nurturing, calm, and resilient approach
* Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments
* Strong understanding of inclusive practices and behaviour management
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
