Our team works across a broad range of commercial, academic, and Imperial-sponsored trials, screening and delivering a variety of specialised therapies to patients. With over 400 active trials managed by passionate professionals, you'll find an exciting landscape with the emerging development of personalised and precision medicines.
Act as liaison to one of our dispensaries, ensuring clinical trials are prepared safely and efficaciously.
You will be training pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and assistants in clinical trials within the dispensary, contributing to our legacy of excellence. Through our association with Imperial College London, the Imperial Clinical Research Facility (ICRF), CRUK Imperial Centre, and various other research units, we have a global reputation for breaking new grounds in clinical and biomedical research.

Main duties of the job
1. To provide a clinical screening service for SACT, clinical trials and medications prescribed for patients participating in research, and to support clinics in Oncology & Haematology, liaising with prescribers, nurses and clinical research teams.
2. To support the Dispensaries in maintaining an excellent patient-centred service, compliant with Good Clinical Practice.
3. To provide clinical pharmacy services, department and ward-based, in line with Trust procedures and national legislation.
4. To assist the clinical trials team in the running of trials being conducted through the Dispensaries.

Education / Qualifications
Essential criteria
5. Masters Degree in Pharmacy or Equivalent
6. Registered as a pharmacist with the GPhC
7. Post Graduate Certificate in Hospital Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
8. GCP and GMP training
9. Diploma in Pharmacy Practice
Experience
Essential criteria
10. Post-registration training and experience in hospital pharmacy. In addition this must include a solid grounding in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice (medicines information, ward services and aseptic services)
Desirable criteria
11. Post-registration experience in screening and verification of SACT prescriptions
12. Previous experience of electronic prescribing systems
13. Clinical haematology or oncology experience
14. Demonstrable use of audit to improve practice
Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities
Essential criteria
15. Good ability to organise and prioritise work
16. Ability to influence senior pharmacy and medical staff, the multidisciplinary team and management
17. Analytical ability for problem solving
18. Good ability to use computer systems including excel and word
