Trainee Lawyer – Fast‑Growing InsurTech Start‑Up
I’m excited to share a fantastic opportunity with a fast‑growing start‑up insurer that’s building something genuinely new in the market. We’re looking for an ambitious Trainee Lawyer to join their in‑house legal team and help shape the future of a business that’s scaling quickly and thinking boldly.
About the Role
This is a rare chance to step into an in‑house training contract within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. You’ll work closely with senior lawyers and business leaders across underwriting, claims, product development, and compliance, gaining hands‑on exposure from day one.
You’ll be involved in:
* Supporting on commercial contracts
* Advising the business on regulatory and governance matters
* Assisting with corporate matters, including governance, company secretarial work, and supporting on corporate projects
* Helping build legal processes and frameworks from the ground up
* Working cross‑functionally with teams across the business
* Contributing to strategic projects as the company scales
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who’s not just academically strong, but genuinely excited by the pace and creativity of a start‑up.
You’ll need:
* Strong academics (LLB/GDL + LPC)
* Minimum 1 year of paralegal experience in insurance
* A proactive mindset and willingness to get stuck in
* Curiosity, commercial awareness, and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels
* A genuine interest in building something new, not just maintaining the status quo
