Our client is a global toll and contract manufacturer, distributor, and logistics provider of chemicals and consumer goods, including personal care, food, industrial coatings, lubricants, pharma products, and more.
The Business Line Manager/Product Line Manager - Methyl Esters will oversee the P&L for the methyl esters product line, managing sourcing, supplier relationships, sales, business development, pricing, production capabilities, capacity, and key accounts. The role reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing. This is a 100% remote position, preferably based in the Midwest, Southeast, or East Coast.
Job Responsibilities
* Market the value proposition of speed and responsiveness to customers.
* Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and customer preferences; develop actionable strategies.
* Collaborate with operations to improve manufacturing capabilities, pricing, and profitability for growth markets.
* Identify new sales opportunities and target customers.
* Work with cross-functional teams to develop integration plans and milestones.
* Plan sales and strategies to ensure profitability and stay updated on market trends.
* Work with the executive team to align operational structure and key metrics.
* Drive revenue growth through new sales, customer expansion, and pricing strategies.
* Develop pricing strategies to optimize margins.
* Enhance business qualification processes for increased volume and efficiency.
* Manage the day-to-day integration process and cross-team coaching.
* Participate in industry events, trade shows, and marketing activities.
* Develop key metrics aligned with transaction drivers and synergy plans.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Chemistry/Chemical Engineering.
* 10 years of strategic sales and business development experience in chemicals, additives, or related sectors.
* Experience with oleochemicals and methyl esters is highly preferred.
* Proven success in strategic planning and sales development.
* Experience with toll and contract manufacturing services.
* Knowledge of personal care, adhesives, resins, paints, coatings, lubricants, surfactants, or related fields.
* Value-based selling experience, particularly in buy vs. make scenarios.
* Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
* Experience in a global organization is preferred.
* Ability to travel domestically up to 50%.
