Job Description:
Fidarsi is partnering with an established Wealth Manager to recruit a Training and Competency Manager. This role involves supporting the HR team by managing the training and competency department.
Responsibilities include:
* Implementing and overseeing an effective Training & Competency scheme
* Providing tools and support to ensure employees meet role requirements
* Ensuring investment managers hold appropriate qualifications
* Maintaining CPD records and liaising with training bodies
* Managing relationships with training providers and coordinating training sessions
* Collaborating with HR, Compliance, and Suitability teams to maintain accurate records
* Conducting annual competency assessments for investment managers
* Handling regulatory referencing, onboarding, and rescreening
* Supporting annual appraisals for non-investment staff
* Delivering new starter induction programs
* Managing internal and external online training programs
* Providing training management information for committees
* Training department team members for coverage and support
* Participating in ad hoc projects as required
* Managing SMCR certification processes and annual FIT reviews
* Tracking compliance with mandatory training and certifications
* Recruiting and interviewing for open positions
* Promoting a coaching culture and designing blended learning solutions
* Developing learning interventions in technical, behavioral, and leadership areas
* Implementing talent management and workforce development strategies
* Monitoring regulatory changes and maintaining HRIS data accuracy
* Organizing FCA-compliant training sessions and facilitating face-to-face training
Required skills and experience:
* Strong inter-departmental relationship management and influence skills
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Knowledge of FCA regulations including TC, SYSC, COBs, APER, and FIT
* Previous experience in a similar role
