Oxford – Hybrid - 3 days/week
£75,000 – £90,000 + Car Allowance + 15% Bonus
Overview:
We’re partnering with a cutting-edge organisation at the intersection of healthcare, AI, and life sciences to find an experienced Data Governance Lead. This role is a unique opportunity to shape governance strategy for clinical and research data in a mission-driven environment focused on global health and innovation.
The Opportunity:
You’ll work within a cross-functional environment alongside AI, Clinical, and IT teams to ensure robust data governance across a growing platform handling highly sensitive clinical, pharmaceutical, and research data. The organisation is scaling rapidly and is building a major new research and innovation campus in Oxford.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
* Ensure regulatory adherence (GDPR, HIPAA) across complex data pipelines.
* Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, and researchers to embed data best practices.
* Lead governance for data partnerships with global healthcare and pharma organisations.
* Ensure auditability and ethical data use across AI and clinical environments.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience in healthcare or clinical data environments.
* Deep understanding of GDPR, HIPAA, and healthcare-grade compliance.
* Experience with data governance, audit, and privacy frameworks.
* Collaborative mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-scaling, multidisciplinary team.
