History Teacher Location: Erdington Start Date: Septmeber 2025 Salary: Competitive in line with MPS/UPS Here at Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, a passion for bringing history to life and the ability to inspire and motivate students. We are looking for someone who can be a positive role model, build strong relationships and create an engaging learning environment. We welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers. Key Responsibilites: Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable). Foster a positive learning environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and active participation. Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. Assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions where necessary. Contribute to the development of curriculum plans, resources, and enrichment activities. Key Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in History and the ability to deliver the curriculum effectively. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Experience teaching History at GCSE and/or A-Level (desirable). Willingness to lead or support extracurricular activities related to History or Humanities (desirable). A creative approach to lesson planning and resource development.
