The Governing Board of Flax Hill Junior Academy (part of Mercia Primary Academy trust) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed Lunchtime Supervisor. We are looking for someone who is reliable and committed, as well as being an excellent role model for the children. You will be responsible for setup/set down and supervising children at lunchtime. Previous experience is not necessary but you will need to be prepared to take part in training sessions on Inset Days. Please note, you will be expected to arrange holidays outside term time. The successful candidate will join a dedicated and hardworking team of staff who support the lunchtime period. The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of the Senior Lunchtime Supervisor with further support from the Senior Leadership team. You will provide general support to the staff and children at lunchtime and on the playground. This role also includes setting up and cleaning down. Support to pupils: Supervise and support students, ensuring their safety by complying with good Health & Safety practice. Encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities. Support to Teacher: Undertake routine administrative tasks e.g. pupil record-keeping as requested such as first aid. Support in managing pupil behaviour, reporting difficulties as appropriate. Appropriate liaison with parents on general pupil matters. Support to Curriculum: Support pupils to understand instructions in relation to the curriculum Attend training sessions as required for Safeguarding purposes and ensure appropriate skill level is obtained to undertake the role, e.g. behaviour management strategies. Support to School: Be aware and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, Health and Safety, security, confidentiality, data protection and report all concerns to the appropriate person Ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
