The Knares Medical Practice, part of West Basildon PCN, is looking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team on a part-time locum/temporary basis for 8 hours per week.
The successful Advanced Nurse Practitioner will work as an autonomous practitioner, diagnosing, managing, prescribing, and discharging patients with illness or injury across all age groups, including young children. This may be by face-to-face consultation, telephone, or video consultation.
Main duties of the job include:
* Demonstrating a high level of expertise within the specialist service, providing advice, education, and support to staff, patients, their families, and carers.
* Practising autonomously as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care.
* Supporting new ways of working that emphasize a more efficient and patient-focused service, ensuring the safe treatment, referral, and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area.
* Holding responsibility for leading the ongoing development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service.

Person Specification:
Essential qualifications and experience include:
* Registered nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Council.
* Masters Degree or Postgraduate diploma or degree for Advanced Practice Qualification or RCN accreditation.
* Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber.
* Meets NMC revalidation requirements.
* Meets the standards for registered ANP working at advanced level.
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
* Qualified triage nurse.
