Job Title: Payroll Manager
Location: Based in Powys, Wales, SY22Salary: £45,000
Overview: A well-established organisation in the agricultural sector is seeking an experienced Payroll and Benefits Manager to join its People and Culture team. This leadership role is pivotal in delivering a high-quality payroll and benefits function, supporting thepany’s people strategy and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the end-to-end payroll process, ensuringpliance with legal and internal standards.
2. Develop and manage payroll, pensions, and benefits procedures andernance.
3. Oversee internal payroll staff and external partners to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
4. Managepany pension schemes, ensuring data integrity andpliance.
5. Support the implementation of a new HRIS and payroll system, including configuration and testing.
6. Review and enhance current benefits offerings; assist in rolling out flexible benefits.
7. Coordinate with benefit intermediaries for renewals and employeemunications.
8. Deliver annual payroll activities such as pay reviews, bonuses, and gender pay gap reporting.
9. Act as the subject matter expert on payroll legislation and benefits, including PAYE, IR35, and BIK.
10. Collaborate with Finance for accurate reporting and auditpliance.
Candidate Profile:
11. Professionally qualified in payroll (, CIPP) or equivalent experience.
12. Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax, and benefits.
13. Proven experience managingplex payrolls in multi-entity environments.
14. Proficient in payroll systems (, Pegasus, Sage) and reporting tools.
15. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
16. Able to work independently and manage high volumes of data.
17. Excellentmunication skills, capable of explainingplex issues clearly.
