Role Overview
Our client, a major player in Defence & Security, is seeking a Senior Airworthiness Engineer to work on the Qatar Hawk project. Based in Warton, this contract role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety and functionality of military aircraft systems in a hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities
* Develop, improve, and maintain the Product Integrity - Airworthiness (AW) Capability Discipline, ensuring the necessary capability to meet objectives.
* Ensure an effective Engineering Management System across Air for the design, development, and assurance of AW deliverables.
* Provide AW SME advice to Project and Product teams regarding capability requirements to deliver PI deliverables to the required quality, meeting corporate and legal standards.
Job Requirements
* Typically 5-10 years of experience in aircraft design and development.
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Confident in using engineering toolsets.
* Good communication, supervisory, and team working skills.
* Knowledge of military and civil airworthiness regulatory environments.
* Understanding of AW standards such as CS25 and CAP 722.
* Previous experience with MoD / DE&S is desirable.
* Hybrid working model with 2 days onsite per week.
