About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Assistant to join our team based in Ipswich. We are looking for an extraordinary individual who is enthusiastic, inquisitive, acquisitive, challenges the status quo and has a competitive spirit. You will work closely with the Director of Business Development and Central Business Development team who are based in London, to support and achieve the company’s growth strategy. This will include but not limited to, liaising with internal stakeholders to capture current and potential future opportunities, assist in generating a pipeline of new work (outside of the Healthcare Sector) and contribute to marketing initiatives to raise the Castons Artelia Group’s brand in the local area.
Responsibilities
* Business Development: support Director of Business Development in targeting Castons Artelia Group’s pipeline
* Marketing: work alongside London marketing team to plan and initiate campaign strategies
* CRM Management: managing and updating Reflex (Salesforce) to ensure order intake throughout the process (from preparation of the proposal through to won and signed) is captured.
* Monthly Reports: reporting monthly on opportunities, providing accurate updates on the status of each opportunity
* Opportunity identification: coordinate with Bid Manager in London to identify the latest opportunities that aligns with company strategy
* Proposal Development: working with subject matter experts to develop compelling and technically accurate proposal responses for both public and private sector tenders
* Document and presentation design: designing, formatting and production of bid submissions in line with company style and brand guidelines
* Research and analysis: of potential clients and to develop client-centric, tailored material
* Maintaining bid and marketing collateral library: including writing bid CVs, case studies, re-usable bid content to streamline the writing process
* Ad hoc support to Central Bid Team: supporting colleagues based in London on wider activity as required.
Qualifications
* Have at least 2 years experience
Required Skills
* As our Business Development Assistant, you will be confident working as part of a high performing team, supporting the senior team members and working with colleagues across the company.
* You must be able to prioritise work and handle multiple tasks within an immovable deadline driven environment.
* You should be confident, enthusiastic and with strong attention to detail.
* Have a high standard of written communication
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Be highly self-motivated, with a driven & competitive spirit, with the ability to organise and prioritise own time
* Be a reliable team member able to work alone or collaboratively
* Have very high-quality standards, with exceptional proofreading and editing skills
* Be numerate and comfortable with working with figures when required
Preferred Skills
* Adobe InDesign
* Experience gained in a construction professional services background.
