DWF Law LLP is seeking to recruit a Associate to join our growing Major Injury & Casualty team dealing varied caseload of litigated cases across Employers Liability, Public Liability, Motor, and Personal injury claims.

The role can be worked from Glasgow or Edinburgh on a hybrid basis.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring that cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
* Strong technical ability to include a thorough grasp of principles, case law and litigation.
* Working with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice.
* Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices
* Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
* Developing your technical and commercial knowledge via training or working practices.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential Criteria
* Experience handling own caseload of pre-litigated and Sheriff Court actions as well as assisting more senior team members with large value, complex files.
* Experience managing Employers Liability, Public Liability, Motor, and Personal injury claims.
* Insurance litigation experience is essential.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience handling litigation experience in one of the following area's - Employers Liability, Public Liability, Motor, RTA, Casualty, Disease, Personal injury, Serious injury and catastrophic injury
* Experience of acting for Defenders, including litigation experience.
* Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and to work effectively under pressure.
