Exciting opportunity for an accomplished Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on major civil engineering projects across Kent, valued between £50m and £100m, for a Tier 1 contractor. Created following the award of multiple new contracts, this position offers a senior commercial professional the chance to take ownership of several high-profile schemes and play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects across the region. The Role Reporting into senior commercial and operational leadership, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for setting and delivering the commercial strategy across multiple projects while leading and supporting project-based commercial teams. The role carries significant autonomy and influence across project decision-making. Key responsibilities include: Overall commercial leadership and governance across projects from contract award through to final account Developing and implementing commercial strategies to maximise value, margin, and cash flow Leading, mentoring, and performance-managing project commercial teams Strategic management of subcontract procurement, commercial risk, and supply chain relationships Ownership of cost forecasting, financial reporting, and commercial performance reviews Proactive management of change, compensation events, and early warnings under NEC contracts Senior stakeholder engagement with clients, partners, and internal leadership teams Providing high-level commercial and contractual advice to support operational and strategic decision-making Ensuring compliance with company commercial procedures, controls, and best practices Experience Required Applicants will be degree qualified (HNC / BSc or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and will demonstrate a strong track record operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level or as a proven Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering sector.
