We are seeking a skilled and logical-thinking Administrator to support the growth of our mobility solutions and the evolution of the Road Fleet department. The Fleet Mobility Specialist will ensure train crew and key team members are efficiently scheduled and transported.
This role requires an analytical individual passionate about process improvement and problem-solving, capable of making decisions and taking effective actions.
Responsibilities include coordinating personnel movement via various transport methods, overcoming logistical challenges, optimizing current processes, and developing new solutions. The role involves managing relationships with vehicle suppliers (leased, owned, rented) and overseeing other essential service providers.
As this area is constantly evolving, the ability to collaborate with other teams is vital. Future duties include full lifecycle management of our fleet and advancing telematics systems within our vehicles.
This position can be based in Peterborough or Doncaster, with a salary up to £30k. The closing date is 2nd June 2025.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive efficiency and seek improvements in mobility services and supplier operations.
2. Enhance delivery of Road Fleet objectives and GBRf policies, providing value to stakeholders and ensuring a positive user experience.
3. Interface with hire car, taxi, and mobility solution suppliers to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
4. Engage with Planning, Control, and Operational teams to support optimal mobility solutions.
5. Adhere to budgets and identify cost efficiencies to outperform targets.
6. Maintain detailed records of mobility solutions to minimize downtime and impact on internal customers.
7. Develop data analysis strategies to optimize efficiency and quality.
8. Source vehicles following company procedures and policies.
9. Create smarter reporting methods using new technology to enhance departmental and business performance.
10. Research and compare suppliers to ensure value for vehicles and related services.
11. Coordinate with leasing companies and suppliers for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
12. Lead change initiatives within the team and across the business.
13. Ensure fleet operations comply with legislation, managing fines, penalties, and damages.
