We are currently recruiting an HGV Driver for our Biosolids team. The role involves driving and operating vehicles to maximize profitability and efficiency for Bio Recycling services at Thames Water sites and external locations, including logging deliveries in the system.
What you will be doing as a Biosolids HGV Driver
1. Safely operate vehicles related to Bio Recycling services at Thames Water sites and external locations.
2. Collaborate with Thames Water staff to ensure efficient delivery of Bio Recycling activities.
3. Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting defects as needed.
4. Represent Thames Water professionally in customer-facing environments.
Location: Crossness STW, East London.
Working hours: 45 hours per week, on a 7-day rotating shift pattern (5 days on, 3 days off, 4 days on, 4 days off).
What you should bring to the role
1. Experience driving LGV and HGV vehicles in a commercial or off-road environment.
2. Ability to work on rotational shifts, including nights and days.
3. Knowledge of Transport law and the Road Traffic Act.
4. Basic operation and maintenance skills for HGVS and LGVS.
